My Role
Product Designer & Architect (Solo side project).
Workforce Management Platform for Care Providers
Self-initiated passion project · Sole IC · Discovery, product strategy, UX/UI design and proof-of-concept development.
Building a modern, compliant, and scalable workforce management platform as a solo passion project to reduce administrative burden on care teams while improving outcomes for vulnerable older adults.
RosterCore Care began as a self-initiated passion project shaped by real conversations with carers. My partner and a few close friends have worked in care, and their day-to-day experiences gave me a deeper appreciation for how much digital tools can either support or slow down people working in pressured, highly responsible environments.
That first-hand perspective led me to explore the care sector more deeply, particularly around workforce planning, compliance, scheduling and the operational tools that sit behind high-quality care delivery.
Product Designer & Architect (Solo side project).
B2B SaaS – Modular Workforce Management Platform (Care vertical).
Care managers, schedulers, compliance teams, frontline carers and families.
Early-stage concept and design system building (MVP planning in progress).
Care providers operate under intense pressure, complex scheduling, strict compliance requirements, fragmented tools, and heavy administrative workloads that pull staff away from actual caregiving. Many still rely on spreadsheets, multiple disconnected systems, and manual processes that create risk, inefficiency, and burnout.
Care providers relied on spreadsheets and fragmented systems, leading to heavy manual data entry, duplication, scheduling errors, and compliance risks.
Significant admin burden, low system adoption, staff frustration, and reduced time spent on actual caregiving.
Create an intuitive, compliant workforce platform that minimises manual effort, improves visibility, and supports both office managers and mobile carers, while remaining flexible for future verticals.
RosterCore Care is a self-initiated passion project where I act as the sole individual contributor across the full product lifecycle. I shaped the problem space, explored user needs, defined the product direction, created the information architecture, designed the core workflows, and began translating the concept into proof-of-concept designs.
Explored the care sector through real conversations with carers and identified key operational challenges.
Defined the product vision, prioritised capabilities, and shaped a scalable roadmap focused on care while planning for future verticals.
Created intuitive workflows for scheduling, attendance, compliance, and staff management.
Designed clear dashboards and tools for care managers and office teams.
I focused first on the operational backbone: onboarding, employee records, scheduling, compliance visibility and task-based workflows. These screens explore how a care provider might move between high-level workforce visibility and detailed employee or shift-level actions.

The redesign focused on creating clear, compliant, and user-friendly tools that reduce administrative burden while maintaining strict regulatory standards.
Comprehensive employee profiles with dedicated tabs for compliance, employment, and training.
Flexible tools for creating and managing complex care rotas and shift patterns.
Structured system for managing DBS checks, training records, and regulatory requirements.
Simple clock in/out and attendance tracking with mobile support.
Streamlined flow from candidate recruitment to full employee integration.
Clear dashboards and reporting for managers to monitor staffing and compliance.
I created high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes to validate the new workflows. As part of this, I am establishing a robust design system with core components, patterns, and guidelines that will serve as the foundation for building the entire platform.

RosterCore Care helped me turn an early product hypothesis into a tangible, scalable product direction. The project demonstrates how I approach an unfamiliar sector, identify operational pain points, shape a product architecture and move from abstract opportunity to concrete workflows, interface patterns and proof-of-concept thinking.
The result is not just a visual concept, but a foundation for a modular workforce platform that could support staff records, scheduling, compliance, attendance and future care-specific workflows.
Defined a modular core system with the care vertical as the first implementation.
Designed comprehensive staff profiles and structured compliance workflows.
Created intuitive processes for scheduling, attendance, and admin tasks.
Built a flexible design system and architecture that supports expansion beyond care into other industries.
RosterCore Care demonstrates my ability to tackle complex, regulated domains with a clear, scalable, and user-focused mindset.
Designed a modular platform architecture that balances immediate care needs with long-term scalability.
Created compliant yet usable solutions for high-stakes environments with strict data and audit requirements.
Focused on reducing administrative burden for both office managers and frontline carers.
Built a flexible foundation that can evolve from a care-specific tool into a cross-industry workforce platform.
